The tender shell just pops off, revealing plenty of room for a Digitrax DZ123 decoder. As a plus, Model Power brought all four needed wires (two from the pickups from the rails and two from the motor) so decoder installation is a snap, only the headlamp can't be controlled via DCC - it's on all the time.
