I'm afraid I must be "color deprived" somehow. I've spent a lot of
time looking at paint samples and trying to pick "earth colors" but
the paint ends up being very different than what the sample suggests.
I've tried a bunch of different colors, getting the "Paint Pods" from
ACE Hardware (4 oz sample jars). The colors I've tried:
- Fortress Brown (D14-6) - (not shown) too dark
- Yuma (B21-6) - (not shown) too yellow
- Sable Sand (C19-5) - (not shown) Initially I thought it to be too
light, but I may revisit it.
- Wicker (D17-5) - too gray
- Thatched Roof (D16-6) - too gray
- Rich Caramel (C17-5) - too red
- Dakota Hills (C23-5) - too green
- And I finally settled on:
Popcorn Kernel (C13-6) - This is what I had in mind all along, but
it may end up being too dark. We'll see how it goes.
