CBR929 Fender Bob
|
The coolest modification I made to the CBR is the "James Bond" fender bob. I wanted to cut the fender size down to give the rear of the bike a cleaner look. This would require moving the license plate up higher, but that would block the key slot for popping the rear seat. The solution was to use a sprung cabinet hinge to mount the license plate, so that it folds down to reveal the key slot. |

The essential tool for performing the cutting: Dremel with cutting wheel |

I used a french curve to scribe the line for the side and made the cut |

And duplicated it on the other side |

The piece of fender cut off is used to make the bracket to hold the license plate, here with the hinge attached |
