This affair ended on a fateful November 16, 2003 at Thunderhill. I approached a slower rider entering turn 11, planned to pass him at the exit of turn 13, but he crashed in the middle of turn 12. With a body on the track right in front of me while leaned over to enter the turn, I reacted by braking more. Bad move, the front tire couldn't take and I went down hard on the right side. I ended up with just a bruised right shoulder, but the bike slid off the track and then tumbled. The result: a totaled 2003 R6.
